This project is for the development of the much loved Calstock Village Hall. Originally constructed by local volunteers in the 1980s, the hall needed to be updated to meet the needs of the community today. Funding was obtained by the Hall Committee from The Good Growth Fund to undertake a community consultation and feasibility study to understand the needs of the village, and the opportunities possible.

Planning approval achieved in 2023 included conversion of the roof space into meeting rooms and studio space. The ground floor is re-arranged to create a small second hall that can be let independently of the main hall. The bar is moved to enable a better stage layout for gigs and there is a new entrance and visual connection to the hall and the village green.

Hall access is improved and there is a room that could provide shop/post office facilities.

Creation of the second hall, acoustically separated from the main hall.

Birch ply cladding and celestory windows create an intimate space, ideal for smaller groups or meetings…
